Eeeeeverybody is doing it! Everybody is making their mark on Facebook and I am also in that group. I had no idea how advantageous having a Facebook account would be. I thought it was just another means for people to be all up in your personal life or showering you with pick-up lines like on MySpace. But I have to admit, FaceBook is to Business as Spoons are to Soup....ya got to have it.

You have to know how to market your business on Facebook as well as how to setup your website so it is properly integrated into Facebook. There are 5 things that you need to do in order to promote your business on Facebook (we'll cover the greatness of Twitter later, I don't want to overwhelm you with information).

If you are the owner of an ugly website, you already know its ugly, but for some strange reason you are in denial. So you dress it up add cool features like butterflies following your customers cursors or the ever so irritating menu that follows us as we scroll. Have you asked yourself..."How can butterflies following someone's cursor help me gain more business?"

Honey let me tell you, since no one else hasn't...stop fooling yourself. If you know you're dealing with a beast, no amount of "pearls" in the world is going to help and its about time you did something about it.

I love "Open Source" and you should too. And if you don't know what "Open Source" means...(placing my hand on your shoulder) its about time that I shared an internet secret with you.

If you didn't know, there are a group of developers who develop products under the GNU General Public License (GPL). They allow people like myself access to thousands of products free of charge for non-commercial personal or professional use. Some popular GPL developments are Linux, Eclipse, WordPress, Mozilla Firefox and even soda called OpenCola!

Whether you use Open Source tools or not, if you manage your on web pages...

You NEED to have an image and html editor to manage your content.

The New Age of Spammers

Gosh spammers suck! (lol)

I was working on a client's site just today and I noticed that the spammers have gotten extremely clever. They now post comments that if you are not careful you just might let them in to run amuck on your site. I was reading comments that were almost what you'd expect to hear from your real comment posters. They cultivate brilliant automated messages that now stroke your ego, in hopes that the you will be so taken by their positive comments that you'll click "Approve" and let them in.

I wish you all could read the comments, they said things like...
